What's Next this summer?
It's summer, and the recreation is easy. Thanks in large part to these folks, all volunteers, who cleaned up in April.

I know, a lot of playing, not much cleaning. Trust me, they cleaned.
Ok,in between coffees, and swing rides.
Look Like Fun?

Volunteering is good for the soul, so are financial contributions.

Stay tuned.

There's a new book in the story walk.
Come see if you can figure out which one.

It was a great evening!
We had over 50 people, many of them new to FOHP.
Thanks to the scary Julie Powers Realitor, and the spooky Giant Grocery store for sponsoring the event, and their frighteningly delicious Hoagies.

Everyone brought a dish - savory, sweet, spooky, and spicy.
The fall colors were spectacular on a warm autumn evening. The sun brought out the best of the leaves in their majestic beauty.
Enjoy the photos.
Hope to see you soon,
FOHP

Special Thanks to These Folks

A motley crew indeed
successfully erecting a new residence for over
100 Chiroptera (Greek for "hand wing").
Bats are nocturnal, so they didn't see this.

Bats play an essential role in pest control, pollinating plants, and dispersing seeds.

Great event w lots of help from neighbors & park users. In the first 2 1/2 hours we had over 60 people sign up for our “friends” group! There was lots of interest in the Pietro Prime raffle, the Pretzel Factory pretzels and the bags of dog treats. A very successful event despite the storm.
